Capital Calling
Politicians of South Punjab were able to bring buses on buses of the poor people of Wasab to Lahore to welcome Nawaz Sharif. They were instructed to gather a large crowd for the return of the country’s three-time self-exiled prime minister. And in all this commotion, no one said a word about Wasib’s poor sons who were killed in apathy in Turbat.
Not just the PML-N, but no mainstream political party has raised the issue properly. But Jamaat-e-Islami comes forward to fill this gap. Baithat reported that
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq has said that five labourers were brutally martyred in Turbat.
There is little condemnation of this tragic incident. A transparent inquiry into this tragic incident and the culprits should be brought to justice. One wonders where the government and administration are. If October 21 can be allocated for one family, then I think October 22 should be given to these martyrs. These labourers go to Balochistan from Punjab, Sindh and KP for labour and they are not going from today but for a long time. These workers do not go there for robbery, theft or looting, but they go for hard work and sustenance on Halal resources.
Bringing the bodies of innocent laborers from there is cruelty and Jamaat-e-Islami wants peace in Balochistan and the whole country, Said Siraj.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami South Punjab Rao Zafar, Ameer Multan District Dr Safdar Hashmi were also present on the occasion.
in the relevant action or as a reaction to the statement of Siraj, Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki arrived in Turbat on Monday on a one-day visit, chaired a high-level meeting on law and order and progress in the investigation of turbat incident, which was attended by caretaker provincial home minister Mir Zubair Khan Jamali and concerned administrative officers. The meeting was informed about the measures taken up to stop acts of terrorism. It was informed that profiling of all the workers coming from abroad in Turbat and surrounding areas is being done and instructions have been issued to all private and government construction companies and contractors to take necessary steps in this regard.
Addressing the meeting, caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki said that the killing of innocent people is a tragic incident which is a matter of concern for all of us.
Let us catch perpetrators of this incident, the elements involved and their facilitators and bring them to justice.
As the voice of Wasib, we appreciate Haq’s meeting with the affected families and hope that other political leaders will follow suit.
